Co-Director
Christina McVeigh (she/her)
MA, Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Christina has provided services for the last twenty years for Thurston and Mason County, with a focus on the city of Olympia’s youth and families. She is committed to increasing access to services for those who are street dependent and at risk of homelessness. She has combined her backgrounds in fine art and mental health counseling to create a warm and welcoming recovery space for the Olympia downtown community.

Sean Wright (he/him)
Certified Peer Counselor
Sean is a deeply introspective and intuitive peer counselor, grant writer, and program developer. His work experience spans the last decade across Thurston, Mason, and Pierce counties, and he is a powerful advocate and ally for individuals navigating behavioral health systems. Sean’s lived experience makes him passionate about empowering people to lift themselves up past their stigma and into their fully actualized selves.

Kennedy Sadler (she/her)
MPA
After serving homeless youth in Olympia, Kennedy Sadler went back to school to get a Master of Public Administration degree to help further her reach on what she could do to help her community. She is full of passion for harm reduction thinking and excited to engage with people and learn about who they are, where they came from, and where they want to go. She hopes to be able to be a light in someone’s day and is excited to figure out how to build more community together in Olympia.

Goblin Brunie (she/her)
Advocate
Goblin is someone with 4 years of experience working in the community of Olympia. She has helped feed families through hugs food pantry during the height of the pandemic. She advocated policy for the rights of lgbtqia+ folks and folks experiencing homelessness in Olympia. Goblins lived experience makes her driven to help everyone in her community, believing everyone deserves empathy and the ability to be met where they are at.

James Condon (he/him)
Certified Peer Counselor
James originally hails from Massachusetts but has lived in Olympia for the past seven years where he has spent time as a friend of the homeless community, doing volunteer street outreach, as well as working as a peer and case management in homeless services. He has a lifetime of lived experience navigating the world of mental health as well as experience loving people through active addiction and is deeply passionate about the practice of harm reduction. James enjoys talking to people from a variety of walks of life and believes that everyone deserves someone fighting by their side.

Lyssa Hammons (she/her)
Advocate
Lyssa is a Compassionate advocate who is unstoppably driven and dedicated to supporting the community. She has a profound commitment to fostering positive changes by empowering individuals to chart their own healing course. Throughout her career she has honed her skills with relevant lived experience, addressing complex social issues and providing support to those in need. Lyssa has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in case management, facilitating modalities in smart recovery, the wildflower alliance, as well as community outreach. She has collaborated with various organizations to address the unique challenges faced by our vulnerable populations. Lyssa is committed to continuous learning and professional development which is reflected in her active involvement in ongoing education opportunities.

Sam Captain (she/her)
Certified Peer Counselor
Sam is a passionate advocate who has worked in a variety of peer support roles for the past decade. She has worked in both clinical and non-clinical settings, in crisis response, peer respite, program development, curriculum writing, and training. She is a trainer and group facilitator for Wildflower Alliance, and she is an Intentional Peer Support trainer as well. Sam is a poet and artist, and loves fostering connections through art making, exploring and healing through nature, and finding meaning and depth in moments of destruction and despair. Sam truly shines in partnering with others to fight alongside them for a life worth living.

Certified Peer Counselor
Todai is a Certified Peer Support Specialist . She uses her lived experience to relate and engage participants on a personal level . She enjoys peer coaching at Peer Olympia as well as volunteering with Olympia Union Gospel Mission and City Gates .
